Worcester Explorer Scout Unit

LATEST NEWS AT WORCESTER EXPLORER SCOUT UNIT:

The year is busy and the exam period begins... Yet at Explorers we aim to keep the momentum going with a whole host of activities for the summer term. We've recently been on a trip to North Wales in March and climbed the Cnicht in the Snowdonia range. We also did indoor climbing at the indoor wall called Beacon. The explorers really enjoyed the weekend.

Looking ahead - We're preparing for District Camp at Blackwell Court in June and will hopfully be camping in a "Tented Village".

We're also looking ahead to our summer camp planned for August down to the Gower. We have well in excess of 25 explorers attending and hope that this will be one of our best camps yet.

Unfortunately due to adverse weather in February the Explorers were unable to take part in the Cotswold Marathon. This was intended to be a fund raising activity. However, we will be doing the entire Malvern Ridge in order to raise funds for our unit. This will help us to fund activities whilst away on Summer camp.

UNIT T-SHIRTS - If you are interested in a Unit T-Shirt or Fleece then please don't hesistate to contact your leader. This is something new that we're hoping to introduce soon before the summer camp.

ALL SECTION REMINDERS:

Summer Camp : Please can all summer camp forms be handed back to your section leader as the deadline is now up. We need to be able to make bookings for activities.

District Camp : Please ensure you hand back your district camp forms to your leader ASAP too!
